Charlotte, NC - Five Charlotte 49ers women's soccer players earned All-Atlantic 10 honors. Junior forward Nikki Labuda (Climax, NY/Greenville) and senior defender Kelsie Ormsby (Raleigh, NC/Garner) earned second-team All-Atlantic 10 honors. Freshman goalkeeper Lauren Brown (Frenchtown, NJ/Delaware Valley Regional) was named to the A-10 All-Rookie team. While, sophomore defender Julie Muckle, Labuda, Ormsby and Ozimek were named to the A-10 Academic All-Conference team.

"I always tell my team that soccer is the ultimate team sport," Charlotte coach Jon Lipsitz said. "I am very proud of those four players but I am also proud of the rest of our players who have worked so hard this season to win the Atlantic 10 title. While individual awards are nice this proves once again that soccer is a team sport and that is the way it will always be at Charlotte."

Ozimek, who has earned all-conference honors in each of the past three seasons, joins former 49ers Mikel Casey (2001-02), Jill Currie (1999-00), Christina Papp (1996-98) and Blair Angell (1995-96) who have earned multiple first-team all-conference selections in school history. Brown finished the regular season with a unblemished 6-0-0 record with 33 saves and a 1.46 GAA. She recorded her first career shutout in the 49ers 3-0 win at St. Bonaventure, October 22.
