Lipsitz To Shave His Head For Pediatric Cancer Research
4/10/2008 - Charlotte 49ers women's soccer coach Jon Lipsitz, the 2007 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year, is shaving his head for pediatric cancer research. Lipsitz is raising money through donations through the St. Baldrick's Foundation which supports pediatric cancer research. Members of the two-time Atlantic 10 Championship women's soccer team will shave his head on April 17. Read Full Release
Two-Time A-10 Champs Announce Spring Exhibition Schedule
4/2/2008 - The two-time Atlantic 10 Champion Charlotte 49ers women's soccer team announced their 2008 Spring Exhibition Game Schedule. Over the past two seasons, the 49ers have claimed two A-10 regular season titles, the 2007 A-10 Tournament Title and the program's third-ever bid the NCAA Tournament this past fall. Charlotte returns 19 letterwinners from the 2007 team which tied the school record for wins in a season with 16 victories. Read Full Release
