Games Notes for the A-10 Tournament ![]()
The Charlotte 49ers (18-12, A-10: 9-5), who earned the fourth-seed and a first-round bye, face the fifth-seed Dayton (24-7, A-10: 9-5) in the A-10 Tournament Quarterfinals, Saturday, March 8 at 2 pm in Philadelphia at Saint Joseph's Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse. Charlotte has earned a first-round bye in each of their first three seasons in the A-10. The 49ers defeated Dayton, 64-51, in their first meeting this season at Dayton, January 22.
Dayton advanced to the A-10 quarterfinals with a 57-51 win over Massachusetts in the A-10 Tournament first round, March 7.
In the 49ers first game this season against Dayton, Traci Ray led the 49ers with a then career-high 21 points with four three-point field goals. Erin Floyd rounded out the 49ers double-figure scorers with ten points in the game.
Danielle Burgin, an honorable-mention All-Atlantic 10 selection, enters the tournament tied for the team-lead in scoring (10.9 ppg) while leading the team in rebounding with 8.4 boards per game. Sabrina Gregory, a third-team All-Atlantic 10 selection, is tied with Burgin for the team-lead in scoring. Gregory leads the team in assists with 116. Ray is third on the team in scoring (9.2 ppg) and she is second on the team with a career-high 101 assists. Floyd is fourth on the team in scoring (8.7 ppg) and second in rebounding (4.9 rpg).
