Sabrina Gregory Earns First-Team Academic All-District Honors

Gregory currently leads the 49ers in scoring, assists and steals

Charlotte, NC - Charlotte 49ers junior guard Sabrina Gregory (Fayetteville, NC/E.E. Smith HS) was named to the first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III women's basketball team, selected by CoSIDA.

Gregory has a 3.75 GPA in Math.

Gregory is having a career-year for the 49ers this season. After coming off the bench her first two seasons, she has stepped into the 49ers starting lineup this season. She currently leads the team in scoring (13.1 ppg) and has scored in double-figures in 16 games this season. She leads the Atlantic 10 with 57 steals. She ranks second in the Atlantic 10 with a career-high 101 assists.

Earlier this season, she was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for the first time in her career after scoring a career-high 26 points in the 49ers win over Old Dominion, December 17.

As a result of being named first-team academic all-district, Gregory will represent the district on a national ballot for Academic All-America honors.
