Fox Named First-Team NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-South Region

Fox joins former 49er stalwarts Michael Rose and Evan Harding as Charlotte players to be named to the Scholar All-South Region team

Charlotte, NC - Charlotte 49ers men's soccer redshirt sophomore forward Kevin Fox (High Point, NC/TC Andrews HS) was named to the first-team NSCAA/adidas All-South Region team. Fox has a 3.36 GPA as a junior academically in Charlotte's Electrical Engineering program.

Fox joins former 49ers stalwarts Evan Harding (2006) and Michael Rose (2006) as Charlotte men's soccer players that have been named to the NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-South Region team.

Fox, who missed the 2006 season with a knee injury, played a major role this past season in helping the 49ers reach the Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship game. Fox scored his first two career goals this season. He scored his first career goal in Charlotte's 5-1 win over Davidson and he also scored the game-winning goal in the 49ers 2-0 win over Richmond. He recorded an assist in Charlotte's 3-1 victory over Saint Joseph's.

He has seen action in 33 career games with seven starts including playing in 18 of Charlotte's 21 games this past season.
