Charlotte Golf Places Tied For 5th at Hayt Invitational

Ponte Vedra, Fla. - Charlotte's nationally-ranked golf team finished tied for fifth at the 15-team John Hayt Invitational. The Hayt Invitational included eight teams ranked in Golfstat's Top 25, including #2 UCLA, #3 Charlotte and #4 Alabama.
Alabama claimed the tournament title with a three-round +9, 873, four strokes ahead of runner-up UCLA (+13, 877). Host North Florida and #12 Tennessee tied for third at +22, 886. #3 Charlotte and #18 Florida tied for fifth at +25, 889.
Charlotte senior Trevor Murphy led the 49ers with a three-day total of +2, 218, to tie for ninth-place, individually. Senior Jonas Enander Hedin shot a three-day +6, 222. Both Murphy and Enander Hedin, along with sophomore Corey Nagy shot final rounds of +2, 74.
The 49ers shot +10, 298 in the third and final round.
