At Charlotte: The 49ers top-ranked golfer who owns the 49ers single-season record (71.77), became one of the 49ers first two GCAA all-America Scholars and was named the Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year ... has been a catalyst in the rise of the 49ers program that has seen back-to-back NCAA Tournament berths, top 25 rankings and numerous tournament titles.
SUMMER, 2006: Qualified for the U.S. Public Links Championships by shooting -8, 136 at a qualifier at Manada Golf Club in Grantville, Pa. to win the qualifier by five strokes ... advanced to match play at the 2006 U.S. Amateur ... won `06 Maryland Stroke Play Championship.
FALL, 2006: Posted a 73.3 stroke average in the fall, including an individual tournament title at the 49er Classic (-7, 209).
2005-06: Keyed 49ers most successful season ever ... led Charlotte with a school-record 71.77 stroke average, becoming the first 49er to shoot under par over the course of an entire season ... first 49er ever to make the final cut at the NCAA Championships, placing 27th overall at +1, 289 ... led Charlotte to the Atlantic 10 Championship by shooting a -7, 209 to place third overall ... shot +6, 222 as Charlotte placed fifth at the NCAA East Regional to advance to the NCAA Championships, where they placed 22nd in the nation ... had four top five finishes in the Spring, 2006 season ... won the 2005-6 49er Collegiate Classic by nine strokes, shooting -4, 212 to be named A-10 Player of the Week ... also shot a then-personal best -5, 211 at Mid-Pines and a -1, 215 at Duke.
Summer, 2005: Three rounds in the 60's to tie for 12th at the Eastern Amateur ...quarterfinalist at the Maryland Amateur ... placed 7th in Baltimore City Amateur and 4th in Maryland Men's Stroke Play.
2004-05: 3rd team all-Conference USA ... Played in all 12 events, with a 73.5 stroke average and six Top 11 finishes ... the 49ers top finisher three times as Charlotte earned its first-ever NCAA Tournament berth ... -3, 213 to place 3rd at the St. Croix Collegiate ... shot under par at three events (St. Croix, Birkdale, Franklin Street) ... Charlotte's top finisher at Adam's Cup , Billy Hitchcock and St. Croix ... had 12 rounds of par or better and five rounds in the 60's, including then-career-best 67 at Franklin Street on his way to a -1, 215.
2003-04: Individual runner-up at the 2004 C-USA Championships to earn C-USA all-tourney honors, leading 49ers to a runner-up finish ... C-USA all-Freshman team ... 74.6 stroke average ... top score of -1, 215 (76-70-69) came at the C-USA Championships ... posted eight rounds of par or better ... led 49ers at two events (C-USA Championships; Hackler Invitational) ... even-par 216 at the Fall Beach Classic, as Charlotte broke its team record with a -15, 849 ... a four-time Chancellor's List student (3.85 GPA or higher) and two-time C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal.
