Thursday Night Baseball Postponed

Niners and Rhode Island to Play Doubleheader at 2 p.m. Friday

May 15, 2008

Charlotte, N.C. - Tonight's scheduled baseball contest between visiting Rhode Island and Charlotte has been postponed due to current rain and forecasted rain in the area. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday afternoon, with first pitch in game one to be thrown at 2 p.m. The second game will begin approximately 45 minutes after the completion of the first contest.

Charlotte's Senior Day ceremony will now be before Saturday's contest, which remains at a noon start.

Charlotte (38-13, 17-7) remains in first-place in the Atlantic 10, with Rhode Island (28-23-1, 14-9-1) holding on to the fourth spot, depending on the outcome of tonight's Temple at Saint Louis contest.
