5/12/2008 - The Charlotte 49ers continued their hot home ways by holding visiting Presbyterian to just four hits and winning their sixth straight contest by defeating the Blue Hose 11-3 Monday evening at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium in college baseball action. 5/10/2008 - Charlotte third baseman Aaron Bray stole home to break open a four-all tie in the sixth inning and the 49ers added five more unanswered runs in a 10-4 Atlantic 10 Conference baseball victory Saturday afternoon to complete the weekend sweep at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium. Charlotte clinched a spot in the Atlantic 10 Tournament and remains in first place in the league at 17-7, with 37 overall wins in 50 games this year (37-13). Read Full Release
Lightning Strikes Twice (Literally) in Charlotte's Second Straight Comeback Win, 8-7 over Richmond
5/9/2008 - The Charlotte 49ers won their second straight comeback win with runs in the seventh and eighth innings to defeat Richmond 8-7 for the second straight night Friday at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium. A pair of lightning delays held the game off for two hours, as the final out was recorded at 11:20 p.m. Charlotte keeps its Atlantic 10 Conference lead with a 16-7 mark, 36-13 overall.
