Niner Nuggets with Abbey:
I have 49er Pride because ... The athletes are all very good at supporting each other's sports. It shows how much spirit and pride that we all have in each other as a 49er family. Nobody knows how much I like to ... Burp! Favorite TV Show: Saved By the Bell. What's blaring on your iPod right now? Country has grown on me... Rascal Flatts is one of my favorite now! If you had to give up all your possessions but one, what would you keep? Of course, a volleyball! Favorite Food: bread ... Least Favorite Food: beets Pre-match rituals: I hit the Charlotte logo on our door. If you could switch places with one person for a day, who would it be? Misty May Favorite hobbies: Cutting and dying hair and playing around with my interior design. What is the funniest thing you've ever seen at a match? Holly Kreyling digging a ball on her knees, crawling under the ref stand to the other side of the net, and returning to fall back to the ground to dig another ball... we won the rally, too! Who has influenced you the most in your life? Grandma Lu for everything she has been through and accomplished. Who is the best player you have played against or with? Laura Darnell (played w/her my freshmen year at Charlotte) Best piece of advice I've ever received ... "Just do it!" What advice do you have for kids? Live for the moment. It is the present time that matters to you most. The past is over and the future is waiting for you no matter what you do. What else would you want fans and recruits to know about you, the team, or Charlotte? If you don't like the people, you don't like your job. Charlotte's volleyball team and staff enjoys each other's presence and we are all proof!
