Indianapolis, Ind. - Senior Shareese Woods was awarded her fourth All-America Award in track and field, the most for any Charlotte athlete in school history this week. Woods won her final award in the 200m, where she finished sixth in the country a week ago at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She has earned such honors in two straight indoor and outdoor seasons.

Woods earned her first All-America honor in the 400m dash for an 11th place finish at last year's indoor championships, only to follow up with her first 200m All-America honor at last summer's outdoor championships. Woods finished sixth at that meet in the finals.

Earlier this year, Woods finished fourth overall in the 200m dash, the best individual finish for a Niner at the National Championships to earn her third award, before ending her NCAA career with the fourth award last week.

Woods has set the school-record time in the 200m four times since last summer's championships.

Woods breaks her tie with former Niners Molly Kerin and Will Montgomery, who both earned three All-America Awards for the Niners.

Charlotte plans to send four competitors to the USA Track and Field Championships this week.
